What is Bashboard?

Bashboard is a library of original event theme ideas, organized by event type. Each theme includes a palette, decor notes, props, venue ideas, and setup details so you can plan from it — not just save it.

How does the Theme Generator work?

Open the Theme Generator, leave the filters open for a surprise, or pick a category and subcategory to keep the result on-brief. Each press returns a complete theme drawn from the Bashboard library, with palette, decor, props, and setup details ready to react to.

Can I browse themes by category?

Yes. Bashboard organizes everything into eight categories — School & Team Events, Wedding, New Baby, Birthdays & Milestones, Party, Holiday, Corporate Events, and Fundraisers & Benefit Events. Each category breaks into focused subcategories so you can drill down to your exact event type.

Can I suggest a theme?

Yes — and we love getting them. Use the Contact page, choose “Submit a theme idea” as the topic, and describe what you have in mind. Real suggestions help guide where the library expands next.

Are the themes copyright-safe?

Bashboard’s themes are original and written to avoid copyrighted characters, franchise mash-ups, brand logos, song lyrics, and celebrity references. That makes the ideas safe to use as inspiration for schools, fundraisers, public events, and corporate gatherings.

Can I use these ideas for real events?

Absolutely. Themes are written as planning starting points and are free to read and adapt for your own celebration. We just ask that you don’t republish or resell them as your own content.

Why do some categories have fewer examples right now?

The library expands category by category. Some areas of the site are deeper than others as Bashboard grows. The Theme Generator and the category index always reflect the current library, so you’ll see real themes wherever they exist.

Will the theme library grow over time?

Yes. Bashboard’s library is designed to grow over time with original, copyright-safe theme ideas across every category and subcategory.

How should I adapt a theme for my own event?

Use a theme as a creative brief. Keep the palette, mood, and one or two anchor decor moments, then adjust the props, food, and scale to match your venue, guest count, and budget. The detailed sections (decor, props, setup) are there so you can mix and match without losing the look.

Can I use Bashboard for school, corporate, nonprofit, or family events?

Yes. Because themes are original and avoid copyrighted material, they’re well suited for school dances and spirit nights, corporate offsites and holiday parties, nonprofit galas and benefit nights, and private family celebrations alike. The category structure is built around exactly those event types.

How do I choose between similar themes?

Compare the palette and the setup notes first — those drive how the room actually feels. Then look at the prop and decor lists to see which one fits the effort and budget you have available. If two themes feel close, pick the one whose setup is easiest to execute at your venue; you can always borrow accents from the other.

What should I do after I find a theme I like?

Save the page, then turn the theme into a short shopping and to-do list: palette swatches, anchor decor pieces, prop categories, and one or two “hero” moments to build around. From there, brief your venue or vendors with the palette and mood words — they’re usually the fastest way to align everyone.
