Ideas & Planning

A practical guide to planning with Bashboard.

Bashboard is built for hosts who want detail, not vague mood-boards. Here's how to get the most out of it.

  1. Step 1

Start broad with the right category

Choose from eight clear categories — School & Team Events, Wedding, New Baby, Birthdays & Milestones, Party, Holiday, Corporate Events, and Fundraisers & Benefit Events. Each one breaks into approved subcategories so you land in the right mood quickly.

    Browse categories →
  2. Step 2

Generate a theme to spark ideas

The Theme Generator pulls from the same library as the rest of the site. Filter by category and subcategory to keep it on-brief, or leave both open and let Bashboard surprise you.

  3. Step 3

Adapt the theme to your venue and budget

Every theme on Bashboard includes a palette, decor specifics, props, venue ideas, setup details, and a budget tier. Use them as a starting point — the right theme should fit the room, the budget, and the people in it.

  4. Step 4

Browse the directory for cross-category inspiration

The Directory lets you search by keyword across everything — a wedding rehearsal might borrow a Friendsgiving long-table layout, or a fundraiser might lift its lighting from a rooftop engagement.
